Is there a way to give coins to the beggars/leppers/drunks in town?

No, there's no way to give (or throw) coins. In variants where thrown potions have effects, could have throwing some sort of healing potion at a drunk, boil-covered wretch, or leper converts the target to a battle-scarred veteran, mean-looking mercenary, squint-eyed rogue, aimless-looking merchant, or filthy beggar. -
Doesn't Frogcomposband have healing Lepers? I could be misremembering...Clearing levels one spell at a time.
