I'm sure someone could give a better summary of this than I could, but if you've followed ToME you know that there has been somewhat parallel development effort on ToME 2.3 (a fairly bug-free and entirely playable and very enjoyable game) and ToME 3.0 (which has a more-or less working engine but very little in the way of content- i.e. not playable although other modules do exist).
at the ToME forums, LordBucket has asked for a show of hands of people who are still interested in seeing 3.0 finished.
If you have an account over there, make your voice heard. If not, go ahead and post here. This seems like it might be a "make it or break it" moment for the community, in that the kind souls who are actually making 3.0 are unlikely to do so if it doesn't seem like anyone is going to play the game once it is finished.
If someone has a good summary of the improvements that 3.0 is supposed to include, that might be handy as well. There are whole sub-forums with discussion of development at the ToME forums.
