    Versatility bug?

Looks like quaffing a strength potion (I think that's what did it) negated my versatility ability and set my melee skill down to its base score.

Then, if I turn versatility off, it lowers my melee skill down to 2, worse than what I started the game with. Am I missing something?

I can't actually see anything in that spoiler block so if it contains something it's not displaying properly. My immediate guess is your stunned which would be giving you -2 to all skills.

The +2 to hit is the result of 4 -2 for the sword, -1 for the mail, +1 for blade affinity = +2 which is the expected result without versatility on. As there is 0 benefit from turning versatility off you should turn it on again. You had higher to hit chance at the start because you were not wearing heavy armor and not wielding a heavy blade.

Wierd now it is displaying for me. Out of interest are you deliberately carrying round treacherous paths? It's generally not a good thing to have in your inventory. Ditch it and dive another 50' if you're enjoying the difficulty level.

OK I thought I was looking at an unmodified base score there, that's a bit of a relief, I thought the character was ruined. Yes I'm a bit new at this.

Whoops, I didn't realize that thing was still active after I took it off. Luckily I haven't had it for long.
