Ghost Sharks. You don't even need to be swimming for them to get you - there was water everywhere when they were alive.

How adding another chest trap, I.e. death trap, that summons 10 Great fire drakes out of nowhere...oh wait, this is Sil, not PosChengband. /sarcasm.

I know, I know. I had just found Azaghal and I couldn't resist though.

Ok, on topic then: Staves of Recharging should be able to add a charge to a forge.

Add in the Sons of Feanor as a post-victory screen boss encounter; preferrably after returning victorious to a soon-to-be-sacked elvish capital of your choice.

Crossbows. (Not a bad idea at all, but somehow not available under fantasy gun control laws.)

Replace the smithing tree with channeling. Don't bother changing the staffs or anything, though.

Knock-back works less often on you when you're heavy.

Effectiveness of Majesty or Song of Mastery is tied to beard length.

What about Newton's-laws-of-motion correct knockback? The opponent is knocked back 1 square, and so are you. If the opponent weighs half as much as you, it's knocked back two squares.

Leading to archer's knockback. 100 lb weight, bash troll, fly back ten squares -> profit!

A wider variety of food items, and a scurvy tracker that gives you penalties if you just eat bread all the time.

                              Capture.

Instead of being killed, you can just get completely surrounded by orcs, have all your gear taken and get dragged off to operate a forge endlessly (but not get to keep what you make). Advanced players are stuck on top of Thangorodrim somewhere and unable to move.

Give Anglachel a multitude of spoken phrases like "Watch out for that orc!" and "Let me at 'em". Failure to slay a unique with it should make you check will to resist suicide.
