    angband.live on github sponsors

An update - the patreon page is now defunct. I have moved to github sponsors which is matching donations 1:1 up to $5000 during the first year, and waiving processing fees. For each dollar donated the dollars received more than doubles.

OwenGHB has 12 repositories available. Follow their code on GitHub.

If people have pledged half what they did last month via patreon by the end of the month, we'll get a new server that has fewer file table overflows and better accessibility in Russia.

Thanks to everyone who donated and everyone else who didn't lynch me for soliciting donations.

Currently that page only seems to allow $1 per month. I think you need to add more sponsorship tiers - it seems to only allow fixed tiered amounts, unlike patreon which let the patron choose any amount.

Thanks, I've set up more tiers now. I think there's something in the rules about needing to offer differing rewards at differing tiers, so we have varying grades of username flair available.

Although I don't often play on the site, I think it's really awesome what you've done there. The last time I tried to play on there I wasn't able to setup the sub-windows the way I like, which is typically why I play offline.

I'll have to give it another go, now that I've decided to pay you for it

          Good luck!

Subwindows in the curses port, which is what the site uses are a bit tricky. There are some new customisation options which may be a little obscure at first but are actually rather self explanatory - they refer to the number of rows/columns of text placed relative to the main window. It needs more work and a clearer interface to be sure.

Thanks for the support! If anyone would like to claim their special glowy usernames post here or PM me.

I'm very grateful to all of the sponsors and donors who've contributed to angband.live. Currently the user sponsorships are very slightly above the costs of the perhaps slightly extravagant hosting. On top of that, the Github sponsorship program is matching sponsorships 100%, leaving me with a small monthly profit.

Given the lull in development activity recently on my part I intend to make a monthly donation to charity (Nadia's Initiative) equivalent to the excess matched funds for the remainder of the matching period.

This is not to say that I don't intend to continue development of the platform (there are plans I have just been consistently failing to get around to them), but I was getting a little uncomfortable profiting by doing nothing and want to be transparent about the money involved.
