    Bug in gc871fdd nightly

Apologies if this is the wrong way to report this.
Dwarves appear to be causing weird lag.

I've tested with various race/class combinations, and it appears only dwarf/anything causes this, and it is unaffected by options or tile-sets.
Moving around takes longer than it should and all view-able tiles flicker in an unsettlingly seizure-like manner (most noticeable with tile-sets).

If I had to make an (un)educated guess, I would say it had something to do with the dwarven ore-detector thingy.
Guess I'm gonna be playing dunadan for a while...

This is an excellent way to report bugs.

As it turns out, this has just been found independently, it is due to ore detection, a fix has been suggested and implemented, and new builds will be up shortly. My involvement in this was minimal to say the least

Damn... I wish I saw that fix before implementing the changes I had planned for the rune-based ID in PWMAngband. I restarted at least TEN times because each time I ended up with a bug that displayed a black screen when inspecting or ignoring an equipped item, and I couldn't find out the cause of it. I thought it was introduced by one of the changes I made, because I didn't have the problem with the previous code... but in fact that was not the case. With the previous code, I was testing with a HUMAN character, while I was using a DWARF character with the latest code. Checking again with all the races in both versions, the bug appeared in both, and just with dwarfs. Implemented the "Make dwarf gold detection more update-efficient" commit, and after checking that there was no regression (see http://angband.oook.cz/forum/showpos...1&postcount=14), the bug was gone...
