    I was mostly teasing, but I do think Poscheng is pretty awesome and I admire its frontier spirit.

    On your other points, Magnate - I think it's important to bear in mind that coders have a legitimate interest in Angband development as a programming / game design activity. It would be a terrible mistake to think that the only role of Angband devs was to please players!

      You would love my Beleriand project, Antoine. So far I've written a small amount of code in a large amount of time, changed my mind about every aspect of the game at least five times, and the only thing I've really decided to do is remove all the fun bits.

      Meanwhile my perfectly good variant is sitting around accumulating known bugs, most of which could be fixed in my spare time inside a week.
