    mgcu - fixed configuration improvement

    Hello

I have noticed that window configuration for -mgcu is hard-coded (maximally 4 windows, fixed position).

I have introduced some 'improvement' for myself.

Now my question is : would community be happy with improvement for mgcu configuration : instead of fixed, it should be load/save to configuration files like settings for SDL or x11, and of course up to 8 terminals, each configurable in terms of position, size & width.

Is it needed? - if yes,
does someone work on this currently? - if no, I think I can deliver it (I have some background in programming activities).

Give me your opinions, I do not want to create sth what is not needed, or try to deliver sth which is currently being done by someone else.

    Thanks in advance.

+1. Nobody is currently working on this. Yes it would be hugely appreciated.

Are you on github? Best way to contribute is to fork http://github.com/angband/angband and then push changes to your fork and submit a pull request on github.

Pessimist would say, only two people are in favour.
Optimist would say, that 100% voted up

I am trying to be an optimist.

        Not yet on github.

I will subscribe and read ang-dev-faq, and analyze little a code (how to reuse reader from x11/sdl), and get back in case of questions.
Changes will be pulled for review as soon as they are ready.

I'd definitely side with the optimist here; the lack of response probably has more to do with weekends (Monday was Veteran's Day in the USA) and relative lack of Linux users than anything else. This sounds like a useful improvement; thanks for the contribution!

This change will make the game more enjoyable for me personally. I'll steal it for my variant.
