Thanks for that. I was already considering the last two myself. Now it's a done deal.

www.mediafire.com/buzzkill (it's also my backup plan so look at the date uploaded, choose the most recent)

You should be able to locate it from there. I've a simple re-color of the putrid flower planned to cover the black lotus. You're welcome to take a shot at the rest. The bottom of the tileset is mostly new stuff, enjoy!

Er, Buzzkill, can you please (a) send me your email address, and (b) be so kind as to point me towards a Windows tool that I can use to work with the prf files? I'd like to be able to figure out what part of the tileset picture is meant by "0x8e:0xC4"!!!

                Much obliged!

It is the row/column of the tile. Only you first have to convert from hex to decimal, and then subtract 128. (The tiles rows are stored from 128-255 since 0-127 are reserved for ASCII characters). OK, technically, you should subtract 127 because the upperleft tile is counted as row 0, column 0.

So 8e:c4 converts to 142:196, which means row 16, column 68 (starting a 0:0, so really row 17, column 69).

And sadly, the pref file can be read as a plain decimal number. There is absolutely no need to list the pref files in Hex format, but we do anyway, because it has always been done that way.

                  Clear as mud, eh?

I'd like to welcome Quickband to the UT32 family, and Ironband too. It's been a busy week. Both these fine variants are 99% attuned to UT32. That means they look so good you probably won't even notice what's not done yet.

This release is so fresh that the current release of Quickband (205b), the subject of the current competition, doesn't even allow 32x32 tiles to be used!!!

Get the latest files at www.mediafire.com/buzzkill.

With the quick release of Quickband, I do believe whole UT32 thing is finally starting to pay off.

What Buzzkill said. (All credit to him for the work!!)

As a quick fix, there is a patched Quickband executable here, which does allow tiles. That will allow tile play on Windows, at least.

I'll finish the tile assignments and put out new releases of both games when I get the chance.

Antoine, or anyone who would like to take an educated guess. I need UT32 tile assignments for the following flavors unique to Quickband. I'm just not familiar with what color most of these would be. If we can avoid re-using tiles already specified in flvr-dvg.prf, all the better.

@ Antoine, once I get the blanks filled in I'll email this to you. It needs to be included in your next release so that all flavored items appear correctly.

My recommendation for quickband is just to wipe out flavor.txt and replace them with the ones you and I did for NPP and the U32T. The flavors listed above are all ones I had put in NPP over the years, and then we replaced while making the NPP tileset.

Another minor update... started out with intent to polish off Ironband and instead ended up adding 3 new (much needed) tiles, wild cat, panther and displacer beast.

Also, prf adjustments (re-map to newer tiles) across all supported variants for canines, felines and maybe a few other misc changes.

As always, you can get UT32 at www.mediafire.com/buzzkill

Updated PWMAngband's prf file with the latest additions. By doing so, I found out that I had some changes that were not included in the latest graf-dvg-pwm.prf so I've attached the latest file with all merged changes.
