    June 10th dev version

    Hi all,

A new dev version should be available in the next few hours. Notable fixes/changes are:

    - 3.2.0 savefiles should now load correctly (albeit with some possible warnings). Anyone who gets a crash on loading a 3.2.0 (or older) savefile, please start a new thread in the Development forum ASAP (attaching the savefile) - we need to make sure this is right for 3.3

    - the splendid vault-munching bug has been fixed: vaults should look normal again.

    - monster status ailments (sleep, slow, confuse etc.) should be slightly better balanced. This is work in progress, but you should no longer fail ten times to put a white worm mass to sleep.

    - the keymap editor should now save backslashes properly.

    - ego DSMs have been rebalanced: there will still be a noticeable number of them, but many should have the minor "Craftsmanship" ego, which just adds a little AC and removes the to-hit malus. This also is still work in progress, so further feedback is appreciated.

    - all quality squelch settings are set to "Bad" for new games

    - d_m's libpng support has been merged. 64x64 tile support inches closer ...

We are edging closer to 3.3, which has a tentative release date of mid-July. The next dev version (or maybe next but one) might be a release candidate ...

Please report any bugs in this version here on Oook in this Development forum. If more than one person confirms a bug, please feel free to open a ticket on http://trac.rephial.org, but please read http://trac.rephial.org/wiki/TicketCreation first, and also check for duplicate tickets.

    Thank you.

Now 16 hours since you posted, but still no new version at rephial, and the autobuilder builds every 4 hours... The Mac version is up though.

    Want to play now

Hmm, something is clearly broken, the autobuilder doesn't seem to have worked since the 24 May...

Takkaria, if we don't mind changing the links, it's trivial to have buildbot also do the autobuilding (it's actually doing that for staging already... so adding master would be easy).

We can talk about this on IRC.

Any update on the autobuilder? I much prefer to test an official nightly, then I know all bugs I find are for real, and not due to some complication from when I compile...

It's broken for reasons I don't understand (the linker seems to be crashing). We'll have something up-and-running again soon, I hope! But in the meantime, no autobuilds, sorry.

              Well, better late than never!

If you check out http://rephial.org/nightlies you'll see an ugly directory listing but there IS a nightly build!

I am working on making the index less ugly but at least it works.

In the meantime ... nice animated GIF!
