        Cold heart --I agree about fuzzy detection. If I am not playing a competition, I will usually modify object.txt and grant full detect object to appropriate devices. Fuzzy detection is just horrible. And it makes Rogues that much more powerful compared to other classes. At the very least, put it on rods of detection and back in the priest Clairvoyance spell.

            Just stopping in to say I disagree with Pete and think fuzzy detection is better for the game. I don't really want to get into a huge argument (again), but I didn't want it to look like there was a consensus just because the people who don't like a change tend to be more vocal about it.

                I actually don't feel strongly about fuzzy detection. Possibly with the player knowledge changes (so there's a chance an item you think is there actually isn't any more) it should be rethought.

                Cold_Heart - note that Pete has explained how you can remove it. A big part of what 4.0 has aimed for is to make it easier for people to play the game the way they like it precisely by doing this sort of thing.
