I was fighting hordes of large kobolds and missed the message that this blue kobold was special. I want my purple uniques!

these colours can be edited outside the code, though whether someone would make a fuss about it in a comp I'm not sure.

Same thing happened to my 2nd character with Bolg

I Had quaffed a !speed to heal up not realizing I was up against a speed +10 orc. It was not a precarious situation at all, I had a _tele other, i could have done a dozen things had I just paid attention. Back in the days I was in the habit of watching out for Uniques , but I have lost that alertness. I dont think I am going to re-learn it.

Ladder positions are just by who uploaded their character first; but actual comp ranking is winner with least XP, or most XP if no winners (turncount not used since it's not included in the dump).

It's the same as "power" in modern V. just a higher +damage enchantment.

This has been interesting to play. A bit drier then I like & the UI is annoying, but otherwise I enjoy this version. I think some of the people complaining wolves are not a threat should play. I mean they still aren't a "threat" but they are about as tough as a dlvl 10 monster should be. The difference being you don't do 100 damage & heal for 20 here.

Looks like the comp ladder wrongly declared Sideways the winner, when it was actually won by Sideways instead! So congratulations Sideways, 2.9.3 is tough.
