I wasn't sure enough of getting it to run - I couldn't get it to run on any OS. I'll have another go for the next comp.

Interesting. No connected stairs, no level feelings, no selling. The only drawback is the 16 starting INT which will make spellcasting harder.

Yeah I immediately suicided the starting character and quick-restarted because it was simply impossible to go anywhere without a starting kit in this configuration (urchins + rogues everywhere).

Remember that in 3.4.1 these are in shop 5, not shop 4. Probably the only version to have this strangeness...

I tried this version today and it's only working for people with qwerty keyboards. Otherwise, you have to mentally map all the keys to your keyboard, which is tedious

I'm done with this char. Won in a little more than 1 million game turns (180000 standard turns). This sounds reasonable for me, who tends to rest a lot for mana with mages...

Three winners with close turn counts! And a fourth quasi-winner who would have probably beat the best score with a little more time...

Clearly a 3.4 mage is an easy class to play. Time to try a frog-knows mage now
