What's the fix for the non-appearance of walls in Vista again? (Kinda surprised, since I thought NPP, hence Ironband, was the fix.)Bands, / Those funny little plans / That never work quite right.

It will be the same as the fix needed for NPP, but I can't remember what it is - sorry - I know this debate has been held before at oook

I'm on character level 5, dl2 and my max mana went down. I did not lose wisdom and I did not put on gloves. what happened?
I know this character is going to be horrible at magic anyway, but 1 mana (no spells at all) vs 2 mana (a kindof useful spell once in awhile) is a significant difference.
EDIT: now I have 0 max mana. Still no change in wisdom and no gloves.
EDIT2: just gained level 7 and now I suddenly have 3 max mana. weird.Last edited by will_asher; July 30, 2009, 07:46.Will_Asher

My old variant DaJAngband:

Sounds like a rounding error. Suggest some investment in WISI'm on character level 5, dl2 and my max mana went down. I did not lose wisdom and I did not put on gloves. what happened?

DVG initial graphic update for Ironband. Further updates will likely follow.
UPDATED 08/06/09 PM. See, that didn't take long. Still needs some work, but better (no more invisible kobolds).
UPDATED 08/10/2009 PM. Tweaked some existing tiles. Added more wall and floor types. Still needs more work, but better (no more invisible rangers, ouch!!!).
It contains most of the terrains that were missing. It's not entirely complete and not entirely accurate, some terrain types share a common graphic (like some floor and wall types), but it's pretty good, at least through DL12, which is as far as I've made it so far. A few omitted monsters have been added.
You can get it here.
graf-dvg.prf goes in the lib/pref folder.
32x32.bmp and mask32.bmp goes in the lib/xtra/graf folder.
You'll probably want to edit the first few lines of your angband.ini file to look something like this. Use whatever font you like. ENJOY!
Code:[Angband] Graphics=3 Bigtile=1 Sound=0 [Term-0] Visible=1 Font=16X16X.FON Bizarre=1 TileWid=16 TileHgt=32

Surely you may. I'm just a servant of the masses. There will be a further update posted shortly 8/10/2009 PM (and probably yet another some time after that). It all depends on how well I play and how deep I get, as I just fix things as I find them.
PS. The minor variations are driving me mad... sand, wet sand, deep sand, sand dunes. I don't know how many ways I can draw the same sand and yet have them all look alike, yet different. There are only so many shades of 'sand' and once you add in the lighting effects.... ouch, my head hurts.www.mediafire.com/buzzkill - Get your 32x32 tiles here.
