Mana storm is IIRC 10d10 + 5 * mlvl, so 600 is the maximum damage it can deal, but it's likely to be rather less. When playing these challenge characters, Morgoth tends to be a diceroll at some level. Though I agree that I'd much rather have 720HP than 597.

When you fight in a big destructed area, it's hard to keep track of every square between your character and Morgoth, especially with the strange LOS algorithm

Afterthoughts: I was considering this challenge vs the same with a mage, this is actually MUCH easier, even when doing an ironman version of it. Simply because you can melee pretty much everything with your higher physical stats if you dedicate a ring slot to =dam (I was doing roughly 260/round with a blade of chaos enchanted to +15 when using "trickery to get enough DEX to have 5bpr with it). The mage has pretty much to stick with devices, and unless you find 15+ rods of drain life and 50+ wands of annihilation you won't have enough to kill everything in the endgame. Plus it takes forever to kill with devices...

So who will be brave enough to try the ultimate challenge: egoless bookless ironman hobbit mage? We have done egoless bookless hobbit mage and egoless ironman hobbit mage, but not both. Maybe in a comp challenge?
