    I think it is a fairly recent change. 3.0 or so. Definitely after Robert era. Or maybe it is JLE -changes.

      I probably ought to remember then, but I don't.

      Was the change made as the price for allowing rods to keep stacking when they recharge? I only barely remember the good old days when I would drop rods all over the place as I used them, and then have to wait for recharge to pick them up.

        I'm pretty sure I remember smart-stacking rods that were immune to electricity, but it's entirely possible I'm remembering from a variant and not Vanilla.

          To me rogues are the hardest class to win the game. Rangers get gazillion spells and insane artillery, paladins have every utility spell priest has + very good fighting, priests have 0% failure healing, mages get banishments and other "get rid of everybody now" spells. Rogue has only stealth.
          Rogue has stealth, excellent early detection, and ammo branding.
          They also have better HP than ranger. They are the classic diving class.

          I find paladins the hardest to win, because I generally die of boredom or just abandon the character.
