    Craaazy artifact

Longbow of death. Too bad I'm not playing Ranger

    b) The Long Bow 'Helina' (x6) (+9,+17) (+3)
    +3 charisma, shooting power.
    Branded with venom.
Cannot be harmed by acid, electricity, fire, cold.
    Sustains your life force.

When activated, it restores your experience to full.
Takes 93 to 166 turns to recharge at your current speed.
Your chance of success is 94.4%

    p) 9 Arrows (1d4) (+0,+1)
    Combat info:
Hits targets up to 180 feet away.
Average damage/hit: 372.6 vs. creatures not resistant to poison,
    and 124.2 vs. others.
35% chance of breaking upon contact.

I've also got some spectacularly worthless ones, like:

    p) The Broad Sword of Tirnon (2d5) (+15,+11) [+1]
    Provides resistance to acid.
Cannot be harmed by acid, electricity, fire, cold.
    Speeds regeneration.

Yeah, I think until missile weapons get nerfed, launchers shouldn't be allowed to get branding.

But hey, enjoy it while it lasts.

I actually found two of them, but the first was more useful for its resists:

      t) The Long Bow 'Aladion' (x3) (+17,+13) (+2)
      +2 intelligence.
      Slays animals.
Provides resistance to acid, lightning, cold, blindness.
Cannot be harmed by acid, electricity, fire, cold

So, nothing to do with the +3 might then ;-)

In my standart game, I just found this:

The Heavy Crossbow of Umbar (x7) (+18,+18) (+3)
(lying on the floor at 3100 feet (level 62))

          +3 strength, constitution, shooting power.
Provides resistance to lightning, light, dark, blindness.
Cannot be harmed by acid, electricity, fire, cold.
          Aggravates creatures nearby.

When aimed, it fires a magical arrow with damage 150.

When did this weapon get a buff? The spoilers from 3.1.1 say it should be a (x4) weapon...

            I also just found:

The Leather Shield of the Haradrim (+5,+5) [4,+15] (+1)

+1 strength, constitution, attack speed, shooting speed.
            resistances...
            cannot be harmed....
            aggravates...
            activation for berserker rage...

That buff to attack speed and shooting speed, from a SHIELD? and I find both of these on a PRIEST >_<

It used to be x6. You are reading the spoilers incorrectly, in part due to a change in how might is displayed. However it did get boosted to x7 with the recent artifact changes. Combine it with the +1 shield and x3 ego bolts for effective multiplier of 42 per round, or a paltry x28 with x2 slay evil ammo. A 3.0 ranger with Bard hits more often at x45, so you are probably only 60% as powerful shooting as the ultimate shooter in 3.0. And you get 0% fail on heal.

Cause, you know, launchers were previously underpowered I guess.
