When you melee the Umbar twins as a mage

c) A ring of speed <+6>
d) A ring of damage (+0,+12)
Then Angamaite dropped Boots of speed +2, bringing me to +8.
I am doing 3 blows and over 100 DPR vs most monsters.

The standart set has plenty of (early) +2 blows weapons which is great for classes that dont normally melee, in particular Blackguards.

I think that if you find your first +2 blows weapon, it is more likely to be an artifact than an ego. By how much, I have no idea how to estimate.

IMO blows+x or shots+x should be reinterpreted to mean + x * 20 % damage. If nothing else, fewer damned keypresses picking up ammo.

And obviously anywhere you are adding .1 shots or blows adjust by +2% damage.

Not when I play them, before the spells kick in. Its oil into launcher, unless some awesome weapon pops up like one with +2 blows.

Or do you mean throw the oil and then switch to using whatever launcher/ammo combo you find?

He means throw it. I recently killed Bulleoarer with 2 shots using this method, down from my previous record of three.
