Another Berserker down... "Hmm, that fight with Baphomet was hard... only 2 healing potions left. Oh well, let's go down and finish the other half of the vault anyway. After all, there is a bend in the tunnel between me and the greater balrog." "Ok, just one more square, then I'll turn back. Uh oh, Shudde M'ell seems to have found a way arounf the corner. That means the balrog will soon follow. Better get away, then face Shudde by himself before I tackle the balrog. He can't be too bad." "Ok, here he comes... 'You hit Shudde M'ell(x14)'. What? only 2 starts gone? Hmm, he's got alot of HP. Well, he probably doesn't hit too hard...(one round of Shudde's attacks hit). Holy ****! only 300 HP left. Can't survive another round like that. Better quaff a healing potion. Ok, up to 600HP. With luck he won't hit as much this round... 'Shudde M'ell hits you.(x8) Posted on 18.10.2005 01:14 Comments? Shude's a tough customer, but IMO not significantly worse than the other two. I notice that you were at speed -7 when you died. That might have been part of the problem... Took a nasty -10, and that makes Shudde about 100 times more dangerous. That guy can HIT. I wasn't thinking of it at the time, but shortly after the battle with Baphomet I found a Long Sword 4d5 {special}. Why I didn't wield it I'll never know, but when I died it turned out to be Ringil. With the +10 speed from it I might have been able to win if I had charged Shudde when he first came at me instead of running from him. And it wasn't caution that kept me from using this one, it was stupidity. Seen 1938 times. |
