What now? Ok, I am in the middle of a vault, which I have cleared most of, and now I am wondering whether or not it would be suicidal to attempt an attack on the Greater Balrog in the middle. I might try him alone, but with Shudde Mell digging through all the walls, I now have a whole army lined up against. Also a Nycademon I could'nt finish off blinked in there, so I will have to deal with it's summons as well. I am feeling somewhat confident after taking down the Defiler but he's only level 58, whereas IIRC Greater Balrogs are level 80. I don't want to lose this character, and I have a lot of loot already, but my warrior's pride urges me to attack. Any advice? In Hengband they're level 50 or so. If you're confident you can handle the Defiler, a greater balrog won't be a problem, barring a really unlucky summoning spree. The first time I ever saw one in Hengband, it was summoned by Shudde M'ell, and I momentarily panicked. I then collected myself, looked it up in the Spoiler, thought, "Oh, is that all?", and killed them both. Seen 1572 times. |
