Oh boy More fun with Hengband Nightmare mode. I'm up to the Vault quest (a level 30 difficulty quest), and it can be dangerous for a variety of reasons, not least of which is because you can get 35th-40th level monsters like Death Knights, which are tough for level 30 or so characters to handle. Turns out that most of the walls in the quest are indestructable, and I had plenty of teleport scrolls, so Atlas, though, scary, was easy to avoid. Managed to get 3 of the swords, but apparently the 4th one was the quest sword, and that room held Borel and Fasolt, along with their escorts. I just wasn't able to fight throught them before the weight of Borel's summons (plus the always looming Atlas) wore me down. Seen 1739 times. |
