After the Serpent Here are my goodies after the Serpent. Teleportation during the battle is inevitable, and I like a nice quiet place to land. After using all but 3 charges or so, I destroyed the staves myself ... no sense letting the Serpent get a taste :-) The Serpent summoned a fair amount, but only 17 uniques were left, and the only high ones that I've ever seen it summon were Morgoth and the Plain Gold Ring, neither of which joined the show. I got Cyberdemons a couple of times, and Greater Dragons once (a Spectral Wyrm was somewhat annoying, as it followed the Serpent too me if I did not teleport far enough). Heroism is a Craft Spell (Heroism, Stone Skin, Resistance, Haste Self and Pass Wall was my standard battle pose ... I left Berserk out of it for the Saving Throw effect). I think the Serpent had no problems hitting me ... Looking back thru my messages I see [1] I cut the Serpent in Half ... Yeah!, but [2] it hit me 14 out of the last 19 tries. So it looks like the Serpent can handle a 220AC just fine :-( Seen 1554 times. |
