So, I went down to this level for a *special* quest, to find it was a large level but the first room HAD NO exits! I searched and searched and cried, and complained on #angband, and searched some more. I had no teleportation device or anything. But then Raist suggested I digged for glory, and lo and behold! I've put the noose back in the cupboard for now.
