False floors lead to THIS?
I had the misfortune of falling through 2 false floors in quick succession, without finding any stairs up, taking me down to 900ft. Once here, before finding any stairs up, I encountered some nasties: here they are, making me too afraid to fight while they try to hit me. I've just invested some experience in Will, and have a bit more to spend, so we'll see how this pans out...

Fortunately, I had a bit of luck in that an amethyst serpent came up behind these monsters, and breathed darkness trying to kill me - thus killing the two horrors, and damaging the ruby serpent for me. Am now clearing up some vampires and cat assassins (the cat assassins I particularly despise...)
