How many times have YOU killed the ZSoC? I feel sorry for the big fella when he tries to summon uniques ;-) Posted on 11.5.2010 03:27 Related character dump: Fearless Eternal Blade, L50 High-Elf Warrior Comments? On 11.5.2010 04:52 chris wrote: Hmm ... Do you think a Poison Needle would work? The Zombified J isn't a unique after all. On 11.5.2010 06:57 dzhang@its.caltech.edu wrote: Possibly... but it's not clear the poison needle would be more effective than the current setup. Doing about 2000 damage per round (because of 70% to hit), I kill the ZSoC in about 15 rounds. Dual wielding Poison Needles, I'd need the Poison Needle to have a "fatal spot" rate of at least 3%. Hm, it does seem like more than that, usually. On 11.5.2010 22:47 chris wrote: Single wielding the Poison Needle, and you never miss. Dual wield, and normal hit rates apply. But since you are a somewhat decent warrior, you are better off dual wielding. I checked the odds, and they are worse than I thought: 1 in rand(monster level/7) + 5 For the Zombified J, that is 1 in rand(18) + 5 So, perhaps 1 in 14 on average. I thought the needle was more like 1 in 7 ... shucks! Its not like I was about to try that, though ... Samurai can get 6 blows per round with the needle, and that might work well :D On 11.5.2010 22:51 chris wrote: Never mind, the Zombified J as the UNIQUE2 flag and is immune. Also immune are the Greater Cyber Wyrm Angel Daemon Lich, and Gold and Silver Angels, for some reason. Weird ... But wait, does this mean you can't catch a Greater Cyber Daemon Angel Wyrm Lich for riding then? On 16.5.2010 00:17 chris wrote: FYI, I tried out the Samurai Midare-Setsugekka trick with a pair of Poison Needles. Only 2 attacks rather than 6, so it looks like that "bug" has been fixed. I'm not sure about the GCDAWL, but I suspect you won't be able to capture it :( Seen 1761 times. |
