Aha! So hallucination is good for something! So playing in Nightmare Mode, I was scumming for supplies after making an exorbiant amount of money scumming Quartz Veins in the Tower. One resting hallucinated me, and the hallucination didn't clear by the time I was ready to rest again... and the Eldritch Horror has no effect while you're hallucinating!
