Agorions first victory against the Dunlending The idea here was basically to use an attack that even Agorion won't fail to succeed with; throwing spores at a wall! When at the top of the loop, a ?PD gives a very good chance of landing back inside the loop, at the bottom I used !CSW when I got stinking clouded. I used confusion spores and a !slow to increase the number of shots i was getting before the next corner was needed. When the healing ran out, I had the foe on 3 stars and found myself just near the tunnel Im in now. At this point I pelted him with fear and poison spores, taking him down to 1 star while I was regaining mana and healing, when they run out he closes and I fail a casting of sting, getting clobbered in melee; thankfully my second casting works and is just enough: he falls from poison damage! He dropped some +11 leather armour (under feet). Posted on 24.11.2007 02:58 Comments? On 24.11.2007 03:05 Bandobras wrote: Congratulations. The best thing is of course that he opens the way to even more spores in another dungeon and a reward at the end. :) I wonder, did he case frost bolt? Would it kill you in one shot? If so, probably the ego he dropped was squashed by the stairs, which would be a bug (already fixed once, but it's a stubborn little bugger). Yes the armour was ego, but Buckland didnt have a service of identify so I only got to gauge it. Frost bolt wasn't the problem, stinking cloud was. My current refinement of this idea never permits him to use frost bolt anyway, only hits are "round the corner" from stinking cloud. =) I'll post another screenshot and an explanation when I get an opportunity. Thinking about it a little more, yes, frost bolt hurt - very near death on one hit, like <10 hp. Confusion & fear spore given sufficient quantity can make this a comfortable kill, but I've been trying dive/scum tactics to set up something really cheeky for the next screenshot and stupidity spores seem to be working. What effects does -int have on uniques magic power? A good tip for the farm: I seem to get a fair lot of ?sense magic, which I point at potions - anything that comes up "philtres" is a welcome drink when about to engage the guardian; potentially fixing broken stats, hasting etc. On 29.11.2007 13:36 daven_26d1 wrote: Urrm, turns out !spd is an {elixir} not a {philtre} but Iguess you could class +1 speed from !Dex&Agi as "hasting", and actually very helpful for this fight!
