I've got it! I've got it! Maybe I don't got it... Cloning Pits have been moderately rough. Random monsters included Ghatanthoa, a dracolisk, and a death knight, the Its were hydra-happy, and while the Gachapins didn't summon much, they were breath happy. Still, I thought it was under control. All the set uniques except the Fasolts were dead, Ghatanthoa was dead, and there was only a bunch of left over fire ants plus the dracolisk and the death knight left. No healing potions and only 1 resistance potion left, but plenty of speed staff charges, so it should be good, right? Sadly, no. The death knight has been busy. That green M is Scylla, the red 's' blending in with the fire ants is actually Judge Fire, and the death knight is now being escorted by a pack of gravity hounds. Still potentially doable, but the odds are now a lot worse, and its very annoying considering I thought I was almost done. Running out of CCW and heroism potions, despite bringing in what I thought were ridiculous totals (60 and 50, respectively). When they're gone, he'll just fail the quest. I once my computer crash while going through the Old Castle quest, and when I restarted, the save was back before the quest started. Re-entering the quest, the random monsters were different than they had been the first time. I'm not 100% sure the Cloning Pits work the same way, but I suspect its set at level generation.
