I decided to go all detect object and phase door and find all my gear, including a weapon, in the dungeon. I did buy a few torches and satisfy hunger. Stupid shopping!!! Detection found nothing useful. I was almost killed my Fang and then later Grip on DL2. It was DL5 before I found any weapon, a cursed trident. I've found a mixed set of missile weapons, sling, bow and bolts. Novice mages are the most troublesome enemy so far. DL6 yielded the war hammer and mild competency. I may be able to survive for a bit now.

Killed a few, but they eventually confused me, and the un-ID potion I quaffed confused me more. I tried using the wand of wonder and, hoping for a ball spell, but it never hit. I hacked through a few more before I finally died. Lack of healing being the main culprit.
