Sorcerors can cast any spell from any book, provided they're at a high enough level. Half the difficulty seems to be figuring out which books to take into the dungeon and which to leave at home.

Androids are also unusual in that they don't level up by gaining experience; instead they do it by improving their equipment. This means that your power level doesn't improve continuously; it stays constant for a long time and suddenly improves drastically (as many as 10 levels sometimes) when you find a really good bit of equipment.

I chose the "lucky" personality to give myself an edge in finding good stuff to level myself up with. I think it's paid off so far. I usually have a decent amount of cash from selling good ego weapons (I can only use a wizardstaff), and Hammerhand was a really nice find.

I just killed Grendel, who is usually a very tough unique, by summoning Phantom Beasts and surrounding him with them. :)

My kit hasn't really improved much in these last 10 levels. The android's need for badass weapons and armor clashes with the sorceror's need to use minimal armor and a wizardstaff.

I haven't found any dungeon books either.

This is getting kind of surreal. I haven't been able to kill any monsters lately. Part of me wants to just go back to level 40 where I can actually fight the monsters, but on the other hand, a single nice artifact at this depth (and I'm a lucky personality!) would bump me up 12 or 15 levels.

Plus, this is where the dungeon books are found.

I expect either to get something good soon, or lose interest and die :p

[3] The Mirror of something or other. Don't hold your breath for this one, but it is worth 4.5 million cp.
[4] The Crown of Amber would be a really nice fit. I forget how much it is worth, but surely it is better than simple excellent crowns.
[5] Even Crimson is worth 1,000,000 cp.

So, I think on paper, it is possible for this guy to advance, maybe even all the way up to CL50. But I must say, you really picked a difficult challenge!

Perhaps you should dive down to DL98? (I'm kidding! ;)
