Certainly not an effort worth posting, but I haven't had much time to play, so I figured I'd get myself on the record.

I share Caveman's ambivalence regarding monster-stealth.. it's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure I like it in practice. But I think it should be developed rather than dismissed entirely. Maybe have high-stealth monsters flicker in and out of visibility more consistently and move more erratically, rather than just go invisible. Hrm..

Probably ought to include the rest of V 3.1 and Eddieband's improvements (eg. fast pseudo for all, the ability to sell things back immediately after you've bought them) and so forth. A quiver system would help further distinguish the variant.

How do you get rid of sliming?

Also, a bug with copper coins makes them look like mithril.

I'll work on improving monster stealth for 1.0.98.
There are rare potions of purity which completely cure sliming and silver poison. There's also a prayer of purity in the healing prayerbook. Other than that, there are several things like elven waybread which cure a little bit of sliming.
I haven't played a newer version of Eddieband yet. Why would you want to sell something back immedietly after you bought it? (especially while selling is turned off)
I think it'd be cool to have a quiver but I think that's beyond my coding ability.

Immediate sell-back is in case you forgot something. Eg. you can sell back a few !CCW for some forgotten ?WoR (which I forget on an embarrassingly regular basis). More of a convenience feature, really.
