Telepathy Helm, with Thengel for a swap. No detection of undead is just too dangerous, and ESP makes a huge difference for rangers against hounds and against big breathers (you can see through poison clouds with it.)

Just be careful not to fight any acid-attack monsters with the Helm in your pack.
