Diving much faster than I've ever done before. (The relatively high turn count is due to spening quite a few turns trying to use the ID spell and then resting to recover mana. 80% fail was quite annoying (now down to 54% which is more manageable).)
Not got much in terms of equipment - I've seen a grand total of one ego armor, the shield in my inventory - but what I have is very nice, particularly the Defender weapon.
Stupidly got CON and CHA swapped by a nexus vortex which is why that is so low.
I see why people recommend diving though! But how, when there's so much that can kill you, do you get to the stuff that you can kill / the stairs, other than by teleporting and hoping you don't land anywhere dangerous (which you will eventually)?

Got surprised by Ethereal Hounds (need to remember that here, unlike ToME, you need to detect invisible as well as detect monsters even once you have SI) and none of my two or three teles got me safe, the last taking me back to the Ethereal Hounds.
I feel I've learnt a lot by diving (by my standards, at least) so fast, though, and it was certainly fun. I did feel, though, that I was teleporting far too often to stay alive long - I couldn't keep on landing safely (or at least safe enough to teleport again). And so it proved.
When do trolls start dropping stat potions? I thought it was 3000' but I killed quite a few after that point and nothing.

And with hindsight, that was not the correct order to do things when I landed after the final teleport.
