I drop another rune of protection and start wailing on him. It was as if he was afk, because he never did anything. He dropped the stone of lore, a ring of speed +10 and chaos dragon scale mail that I'm going to try to work into my kit later on this evening. I was curious to see if he would do his wolf transformation thing or if he had been tweaked in any other way since I hadn't seen him in so long, but the poor chap doesn't have the will to fight anymore.

I think it is a somewhat strange side effect of the change to make stairs take no energy. I reported it to Nick a little while ago, but so far I believe the cause has been elusive.

Anyway, I think I'm going to let Scumbeard live because I want to take on some winged dragons of power, I didn't get a chance to brave one yet.
