In this case, a Serpent Man summoned a Daemonette of Slaanesh right beside me, who promptly confused me, and then re-confused me each time I quaffed a potion. Of course, as soon as I ran out of potions, it was happy to summon other demons to chase me down while I tried to stagger away. I guess I should have saved a potion for that possibility.
