Wow, ninjas sure know how to dive. My first trip to the dungeon took me all the way down to level 28. In just under an hour. Detect Near, Phase Door, Teleport, and Identify are the most useful spells ever. The stealth is fantastic, as is the ninja speed bonus.

Note: Brass Lanterns of Infravision only provide infravision when fueled. What a pain... I had this cunning plan to use my lantern of infravision but not to fuel it, so I'd have the infravision but no light radius... and it didn't work *sniff*

This character is named after Hiro Protagonist, the main character of Snow Crash.

I found a nifty Hard Leather Cap of Darkness, which makes me *really* wish I had Sting. This guy would be such a badass if he had Sting.

I chose to sacrifice resist fire/cold for FA and SI, which I think are more critical at this depth.

Hagen dropped his Spear, which of course I had no use for, so I sold it for $18K. Alas, there were no worthwhile items in the shops for me to blow my money on...

Doing good! Just picked up Thalkettoth ;) This happens to solve some resistance issues, as I can now cover Acid *and* Fire *and* SI *and* Blindness! Finally some good armor.

Awesomely enough, Ninjas have automatic resistance to poison and fear; so now my only gaping vulnerabilities are Cold, Lightning, and Confusion!

And, get this: from looking at the resistance grid on the dump, looks like I now have intrinsic FA, so I can use a ring or damage, or res nexus, nether, or sound. Yay!

Have upgraded my weapon from a Rapier +8+9 to a Ninjato of Slay Evil +8+9. My main damage output is from iron spikes though. I've been finding a lot of ninja-useless artifacts: the armor of The Padre, the lamp of Yeduson, and Stormbringer.

I still haven't killed Wormy or Smeagol. I hope they will drop something amazingly sexy at this depth. Bog knows I need something good.
