While I may have put out three releases of the game, I've not played for a long time. I tried to do some diving faster than I usually would, and ended up with a nice XBow, boots of FA (from Fang), and a sheild of Elvenkind (found on the floor at dlev10).

The death happened just after I'd killed the nasty orc from Cirith Ungol. I ran into the rest of his escort, realised I had few healing potions or wands left, and cast WoR. I phase doored around for a bit, made the mistake of eating some Waybread for healing, and ended up bloated. When I miszapped a rod, I was dead.

On the plus side, I think I might play Angband more now. Maybe.
