This is my most recent Possessor. This is the same character depicted in the screenshot, "Gondolin Trolls - Round 2."

So far, this seems to be a good combo because of the bonuses to mana and sanity. I have been using the Leviathan body for a while. But now, I am possessing Jormungand the Midgard Serpent, which is nice because of the HP.

Right now, I'm making some preparations before the Thunderlords quest. And I still need to get Fire Immunity before anything else.

Looks nice. I like the screenshots too.

Those hitpoints are insane. Who needs resistances when you can't be killed. :)

Major Update:
I had so many things happening that I don't what to discuss first. For now, I have a few things to point out.

Also, some of these are considered spoilers! Beware!

1. I 'm using the body Ingeborg, the Runemistress and this is probably the best body I've had by far. And she has more equipment slots than any other monster in the entire game, including DarkGod. Her HP is around 5000 HP, which is decent too.

2. Marylene does have the most HP of most monsters. Ancalagon has the second highest. But, Marylene actually has fewer slots than DarkGod! I have her body and DarkGod's in Minas Anor. I lost Ancalagon's after losing control of his body after using his breath attack when I had zero mana. Ouch.

3. I killed Mathilde not too long ago. And guess what? She had about 7000+ HP. Sounds nice, I didn't find her body too useful because she was too erratic for me.

4. Last but not least, I'm about to face Sauron at level 99 of Angband. And Sauron has a new weakness you have yet to hear about...and I will post a screenshot of this very soon. Mwahaha!

Other than that, check out the other great stuff I got recently. Not only that, I even have an acessible Portable Hole (not shown) loaded with 5 Potions of Life, 10+ Potions of *Healing*, 5+ Potions of Healing, Staff of Genocide, swappable equipment, etc. I'm talking about the essentials you'd want at all times.

I hope you have fun with this while it lasts! I know I will!

Another thing. The Great Axe I'm using now has access to the realms of Fire, Cold, Earth, and Mind. I'm using it because of its access to the rarer realms.

To wear The One Ring or NOT to wear The One Ring. That is the question.

It's too good to be true. But lo and behold, I got The One Ring after killing Sauron on the first try. I even killed him in four rounds. It looks like Sauron is not so tough anymore.

At the moment, I'm not sure if I want to wear The One Ring now. If Melkor abandons me, I lose his "Curse" capabilities. It was a godsend. If I wear the Ring, I get to keep Melkor and his skills, but I hear that something really BAD will happen to Arda altogether. I don't want to know what it is. And I certainly don't want to spoil it for myself either.

Until then, I am going to wonder around the dungerons or the Dead Marshes for now.

Looking nice. I don't know what I would do, but you sound like you would lose more to destroy the ring, so wear it.

I know you can kill Melkor, but I wonder if the ring would still do anything afterwards? And would you be able to melee-curse Melkor himself?

Where did you get the Runemistress' body?

Angband? Marshes? Somewhere else?

Also please help me out in this, Where is Forodwaith? I have looked everywhere I could think of and never found this elusive spot. Also have you ever read a map to Forodwaith? It crashes the game.

Heh. I'm still skeptical about wearing the One Ring because I think something bad will happen to my stuff at my homes as well as the towns.

I think I will wait a while before making the final decision about the One Ring. :)

I got the Runemistress' body in the Dead Marshes. Her full name is Ingeborg, the Runemistress. She's is a friendly monster and she's quick. She also has the highest level of any monster. It was 128, something like that. But, be warned! If you try to kill her and she dies, she WILL put the Morgothian curse and IS under the protection of the Great Wyrm of Power. Be careful when you do this! I had a Sentient Glaive of FIVE Extra Attacks that got destroyed after killing the Runemistress! So yeah, you have been warned!

As for Forodwaith, it IS in the dead center of the NORTHERN part of Middle-Earth. It is north of the Withered Heath. When you enter it, the screen will say "Northern Waste," or something like that. I have been there before. That place drains your HP, probably because of poisonous fumes. So, be prepared with poison resistance.

And YES, I have read the Map of Forodwaith, and it DOES crash the game. I have even done it on two different Windows machines. An IBM desktop and on a Toshiba laptop. And the crash still occurs nonetheless

I decided to destroy the One Ring. Yes, I had to do it... because I couldn't afford to lose all the stuff at my homes.

It was nice having Melkor as an ally. Now that I'm not aligned with any god, I actually get to choose another one at Cerin Amroth, the area north of Lothlorien. I still haven't decided who to worship yet.

That being said it's time to take on Sauron for the last time, and then Melkor himself once and for all. The show must go on!

Sauron must die. Gee, finding him is exceeding hard now since I destroyed the One Ring. Also, I picked Varda as my goddess. My piety is really low right now. But, once I build up enough piety I might find her spells useful. She is also one of the gods/goddesses that allow to the Mana and Meta schools, which is nice.

Grrr...I still can't find Sauron. What a coward!

Anyway, I have to keep going.

Note -
For some reason, only the first 100KB of this character's dump is displayed on the browser window. Hence, my museum section is cut-off. If you manually download the char dump, the entire file is shown. Has anyone else encountered this?

I see what you mean. I saw the post on the newsgroups, but I've never noticed that. It's merely an inconvenience. That is a LONG dump anyway. Looks nice though. I think this is the first I've seen with more than one RoP from the same RW. Lol.

Very Nice. Keep up the good work. :)

Thanks for spotting this, I had hardcoded 100 kB to read from the dump, never thought I'll see a dump larger than that. The insane exploits of Fury :)

I have fixed the site to display whole dump. Thanks for alerting me to this.

At last, a winning character!

A lot has happened since the last time. It took me forever to find Sauron. But this time, he showed up at lvl 99 in Angband while my pets were slaughtering monsters left and right. And my pets found him. In fact, he bled to death after getting attacked by my Dagorrog (Horned Reaper from ToME). Thus, he died from the wrath of my pets. And I didn't know that Sauron was there until I saw the "yellow text" across the screen. That being said, Sauron is dead finally!

After that, it was time for the showdown with Morgoth, the monster we know and love to hate. It took me a while to find him, but not as long as it took to find Sauron, the second time. The battle between me and him went very quickly. And Morgoth was finished in about 8 rounds of melee attacks. I even used a weaker sentient weapon to see if it would gain much from the battle and to make it "fair game." I used the Great Axe "Eldil" in this case. And even so, Morgoth couldn't stand a chance.

Once I finished Morgoth, I decided to clear out lvl 100 before going home. Well, it was worse than expected. It got very hectic because I tried to take a "greater demon" pit and it wasn't pretty. Iy happened so fast. My character died in the midst of fighting them...and yet was saved by the "Blood of Life." You got that right, I got killed after defeating Morgoth and then got resurrected just in time. I was so lucky.

The show isn't over yet. With Sauron and Morgoth down, I'm thinking of going to the Void. But, I'm going to postpone that for later.

For now, I'm going to do some adventuring, try out different bodies for my possessor, do some quests, etc. My current body is the Tarrasque. This one is decent because of the HP and it CAN open doors. I'm also taking a break from using Ingeborg's body for a while.

Still looks nice. Sorry to hear about the loss. But getting to such a depth in the NR is still great.

That is one bad helm though. I notice why you were using it, but the blade of chaos also ids everything for you.

I notice that your piety is -70k. Why was that? You maxed the prayer skill, so I don't see what happened. I presume that you were not lighting rooms. Perhaps next time you'll try Eru or Tulkas?

On 8.4.2007 22:04 kuiperbelt21692@yahoo.com wrote:
My piety was so low because I hit two "anger deity" traps. And lighting rooms didn't help me increase piety much, surprisingly. Varda is the hardest to please by far.

Note that my prayer skill was maxed before Melkor abandoned me. And maxing out prayer skill has very little effect on my piety for Varda. I had a corruption to "illuminate rooms" and that had almost no effect on my piety. To increase piety, I had to run back and forth in lit areas.
