The first iteration of Dark Helmet started with Chaos Patron (Slortar), and had incredible early luck, as his reward from Thief quest was a randart longsword, and he got 2 Augmentations from his patron by Clvl 15.

However, then he picked up Puny (-4 STR), Aching Joints (-3 DEX), attract Demons, and attract Dragons (some from Slortar). At that point, I decided to suicide.

Current iteration started with Steel Skin, and luck has been above average but not super. Rohirrim from ?oAcq provides a small upgrade from Armor of Resistance. Have the basic required resists and FA, so I can continue diving fairly quickly. Warriors really start fast!

As per usual, I went and gained 6 clvls off the Killing Fields before abandoning it. It was a bit more dangerous than I expected, because I basically could not use my Rod of Teleport Other, and even the Wand had a non-trivial fail rate.
