Cuddle is making the trek to Amon Rudh, he has found the wilderness quite challenging. Bearform has really helped augment his rather poor melee capabilities, and he has just now gained OoD, which fails enough so that melee remains the main fighting method. The store ?oTL are a life-saver, Cuddle regularly uses three or four per recall as escape mechnisms, and sometimes they even rush him along :)

Thoughts so far-- the wilderness is really an interesting change from normal dungeoneering. It feels a lot harder (fewer places to restrict the oncoming hordes), but it really brings out the feeling of a desparate journey to Angband, reminiscent of the journey to Mount Doom. That makes priests even more difficult at the beginning. Also, I'm not used to the Oangband style monsters, so it has been another big learning curve there.

So, Amon Rudh or bust!
