I usually wait til about clvl 30 or so to post a character cause b4 that its too easy to die through no fault of ones own. Thought Id post this one cause I thought it was neat I got that "Soulsword" on the second to last level of Orc Cave from Wormy. Pretty sweet! But I think I'll switch to working on another character as my prime since I've never been a fan of Virtues and Alignment in rougelikes, and playing a paladin means you actually have to worry about thiem.

It can be a pain if you're not in the mood to deal with it. From your virtue situation it looks like you just need to start using aggravation techniques (on gear or from a rod work best IMO). Once you get deeper, all kills will give you valor, and honor is pretty easy to get also. Hunt lepers down with Wands of Heal Monster to bring Compassion up quickly. But again, it can be a pain.

Anyway. The virtues did end up mostly taking care of themselves as I went along. A rod of aggravate monster helped with compassion. Paladins are actually somewhat interesting. I like the Justice realm, it makes the paladin a bit more unique. And it pretty much works as advertised, incredibly powerful vs evil monsters, an mostly useless againt everything else.
