Katana is heavy. Look at #blows if you wield a dagger - more blows +enchantment(from shops) means more damage

I agree that Ring of searching is not too important now that I have a rod of trap location (it's my pride and joy thus far). When I can reasonably afford to buy enchant scrolls in bulk (which will hopefully be soon), then I'll ditch the Chain Mail.
