I have to say that Red-Mages start much much easier than any other class. Levelling to 10 took less than 10 minutes (cleared out Thieves quest first thing, and then headed down to Yeek Cave 5 to clear Wargs, and when I was done, I was clvl 10 already).

I found the Xbow of Velocity fairly early from killing Farmer Maggot, and that became my primary source of damage, well, even now, at clvl 30 O_o.

Had one piece of *extremely* good luck, in the Orc Camp Quest reward. I got the Elven Cloak of the Bat (+7)!! Of course, that means I can't melee attack worth jack, but it's fine. I also managed to buy a Wizardstaff from the Black Market, which decreases the cost of my 8D4 Punishment spell down to only 1! That's a 20 to 1 damage to SP ratio!

The only thing that's a bit upsetting so far (ok, more than just a bit), is the absolute lack of items of Teleport Other. I can cast it at Trump with 5% fail, but I have a bad tendency of not thinking about Teleporting other unless my SP pool is already quite low.

I really do like this class though. And when I finally get Clvl 48, I can double-magic Healing for 600HP of healing! BTW, does anyone know if the double-magic requires both spells be the same, or not?

Loss of Rei Hino who found Colluin to a non-quest Logrus Master was a bit heartbreaking, and the next couple tries of her didn't yield any fantastic early items, so I'm trying to pick up Paris again.

Failed 38 quest.. I know Yibb-Tstll well enough not to tangle with me at only +7+10 speed and 400 HP.


Looking forward:

Need more stat potions. Particularly STR and CON.
Need some source of FA other than Ring, preferably gloves.
Should find some amulet... any amulet, really.
Need to be just more patient and find more items around dlvl 40ish.
