Not thrilled at the consumables situation, but my equipment is top tier for where I am in the game. Didn't actually use many consumables. Just didn't find much this game.

Ulfang forced me to use both charges on my staff of earthquakes. It was either that or use one of my 2 !quickness and I didn't want to do that.

Fell through a false floor on 250 feet like 5 turns after reaching the level since I forgot to get eye for detail (I had the XP for it). Then forced to jump into a chasm on 450 feet since I was cut off from the stairs by chasms.

Had to blow a !quickness on like 550 feet due to being a bit underpowered for 550 feet coming directly from 450 feet. A couple giants and snow trolls found me a few turns after arriving onto the level.

I have 2 stacks of free action, rFire, and rCold...up to 17 smithing. Duruin does (+18, 2d12) and Delthaur does (+20, 3d10). Bane costs 1500 XP, so that should be my next thing to buy since I'm not swimming in consumables. Should get +3 bonus from that, basically a free !dexterity. Will probably use a _recharge if I find one on my _earthquakes. Normally I'd save it for _revelations but I can't afford that this game for the same reason.

No clue what I'd make at the next forge other than crown of grace + lesser jewel of grace. 17 smithing is a pretty awkward spot. And song of aule is so far away. Getting rPois and raukobane takes precedence here imo.

Well, 2 use forge. Won't be making anything fancy then.

Apparently I can't hurt ruby serpents with my (1, 2d6)[+1] longsword. Took like 20 turns or something ridiculous to kill it. Enough time for it to halve my HP even with fire resistance. (-3, 3d4) battle axe will do better here I think. Shame this dwarf hasn't found a better axe yet.

Oh wait, um...no herb of rage either I just noticed. That's vexing.

Found a staff of relevations with 8 charges! Not getting my hopes up that it'll stick around by the time I get to 950 feet though because odds are it's going to get burnt up by a serpent...I'm not gonna bother dropping it before fighting serpents either. Too tedious, a waste of turns, and most importantly, doesn't even guarantee its safety. I could get false floored, forced off the level, and another serpent could come up behind me and blow it up anyways. Plus it limits the squares where I could kite enemies since I have to mindful of what's behind me if there's a serpent chasing me.

I'm tempted to craft myself a mundane axe with nothing but sharpness on it, but I usually have 3 !strength at this point, not 0. So probably not happening.

24 smithing. Next forge would be horn of thunder/mattock of belegost/smithing hammer probably.

_revelations blew up as expected from a fire drake hatchling. Maybe I should've tossed it aside beforehand after all. Not sure the odds of it blowing up like that. There is another on this floor though.

800 feet spawn was so bad...bunch of greater werewolves, kemenrauko, a grotesque, an amethyst serpent, and cat warriors forced me to use most of the few consumables I had, including the only rage herb that spawned all game.

First time I've found Anglachel, courtesy of Belegwath. Interestingly enough, Belegwath did not require use of any consumables whatsoever. And I barely lost any HP. He dropped me not only Anglachel, but a [-1, 2d5] mithril corslet of protection, which might get turned into a mithril corslet of great speed soon. Kinda annoying that it's only 10.5 lb though. Your average mithril corlset is 15 lb. That will spike up the smithing difficulty unless I accrue more mithril.

Oh yea, forgot to name my artefact robes. :(

Glend was keeping me alive for a while there, to get through that tough hide of serpents and kemenrauko. Longsword of Hador's House (+0,2d6) [+1] only tickles them. But even Glend pales in comparison to Anglachel. Won't even need to make a masterpiece weapon when Anglachel is that good.

Momentum on Anglachel? Not sure I'll need it tbh. It's 5 lb and I have 3 strength only.
