But...I still wouldn't use it unless I had a low strength character who relied on crits and was fighting something that did not resist fire. It's only 1 lb I believe. Might also use it if I was playing a stealth build. For all the difficulty in smithing it, it really does not seem that good...too situational to reserve an inventory spot for it most of the time.

For comparison, if it was not a broken sword, but a mithril longsword...

I should've abandoned the level earlier than when I decided to. 2 orc champions, some orc warriors, 2 mountain trolls, and that last easterling was a bit too much to take on.
