Probably should get flanking by Kemenrauko territory. Without flanking, honestly not sure what to do against those things. It's one thing if it's alone. It's another if it comes in groups like what happened a few games ago. Not sure if I should wear Angrod or my deflection shield versus them. Angrod will give me rStun in case they earthquake me, but deflection shield lets me avoid more earthquakes in the first place...

This isn't really optimal play. I'm just minimizing XP expenditure so I have more XP to play around with post throne room, hence the lack of keen senses, clarity, poison resistance, loremaster, and other abilities I normally take for improved survival. Else I'd never bother with the ID game. Seriously no fun at all praying for _sanctity (and getting curse breaking would make this sort of run pointless).

I think a +4 acc ring and a +2 dmg ring would be good eventually. Don't need more than like 2 or 3 more forges for a cloak and some rings and amulets.

I think if I found a defender longsword, Ringil, Galadriel, Glamdring, or Orcrist, it'd be a lot easier to play with 15 melee, 15 evasion. Or if I made my great speed artefact sooner. As it is, 900 feet is surprisingly really difficult, even with Anguirel, a (+1,2d6)[+1] nargothrond longsword, and Delmereth. Even for troll guards, I have to drop my faenorian lamps and stun them, else I lose all of my HP in no time at all. Maybe sing song of the trees as well. My turn count is going to be utter crap due to the great drakes and ancient spiders popping up. Think I would have died already if not for finding Anguirel. Open a vault and 4 troll guards, a vampire, some Kemenrauko, Ururauko, ancient serpents, and ancient spider comes out. Like wtf.

Grond makes for a really refreshing digger. Only was able to carry it out of the throne room because I had a great speed mithril corslet (so instead of slow, I only get penalized to normal speed). And Celeg Aithorn is so so good. Can't believe I managed to find it. I guess scumming 950 feet and only 950 feet paid off. Wish it was there for me for the throne room, but Anguirel and Saithnar aren't bad.

Planning to make a bow, arrow, and new mithril corslet now, but the problem is it must be on an enchanted forge or I'll have to put danger on it. Already have one danger item. Don't know if I want to deal with three more...even if I AM pretty OP. Not making a masterpiece because then the fun ends. Just going to leave this run here for now because scumming for enchanted forges is a pain. I made most of the artefacts I wanted to anyways. Smithing kit's done. And I can kill unrelenting horrors and nameless things in 3-5 turns. Pretty ridiculous stuff.

Toughest part was definitely throne room and the bit before I made my great speed mail corslet. Even with buffs, a damage ring, a lot of healing, Saithnar/Anguirel, and 2 staves of earthquakes, it was still nail-bitingly close. I ran around the back to attract the least amount of attention and lured Morgoth over for a 1v1 (since I had no song of slaying). Imo I should just take weaponsmithing and song of slaying in the future. At least one of the two. The fact that I have 30 smithing post-game and still 25k+ free XP shows that that amount of XP used to make the Morgoth fight easier is a minor loss. Will redo this run sometime in the future with that in mind, especially since I feel I got quite lucky with loot this game. Can't count on getting Anguirel, Saithnar, and damage rings every game...

And song of este is really nice. Had Ring of Barahir for a while and song of este cutting poison/fear/stun/confusion duration makes them so much easier to deal with. Extra regen doesn't hurt either. Only annoying part was that using horn of thunder also consumed voice, so I had to be mindful to leave enough voice for both.

And it costs more difficulty to add dexterity than to add a point of evasion and to-hit each. e.g. a ring of +2 dex (without sustain dex) will cost more than a ring of (+2)[+2]. So if you wanted to add dex to compensate for the lower maximum evasion on a normal cloak, it'd cost ya. Not sure why that is.
