Belegwath is here. I don't think I'm particularly unprepared from him, but at the same time, all the false floors are throwing off my rhythm. It doesn't exactly help that I haven't found any mithril this game, meaning there is no way I can overcome his darkness so I can't see what he has for backup. There's at least a shadow spider and a amethyst serpent though since that's who I was messin' with before he came along. If I didn't have a nargo sword, I wouldn't even consider fighting him here. Odds are not in my favor.

Actually scratch that. I can match his negative light radius. It would be...nargothrond sword (1), brass lantern of true sight (2), dropped lesser jewel (1), boots of irime (1), and amulet of the blessed realm (1). That doesn't include the shadow spider and serpent, however...

I wonder how many artefacts have been robbed from me by untimely false floors.

Wonder if I can lure him over, but close the doors on whatever's behind him so I can deal with him and him alone.

I did hit 750 feet like 4k turns quicker than usual...that may have been mostly attributed to the gauntlets of treachery and false floors.

Lost 41 HP in one round on a 4d14. Whew.

Two amethyst serpents made it so Belegwath was covered by darkness. Belegwath was on his last tick of HP. I honestly thought I was fighting an amethyst serpent at the end there, and not Belegwath.

I had no idea balrogs could go "invisible" like that since they always glowed regardless of how much darkness they generated. But I guess it's possible when Delthaur and two amethyst serpents were right next to him...will keep that in mind next time. I had the shadow cloak on because I thought light didn't matter when I was in a 1v1 situation with Belegwath in that corridor. I should have drank !con as well in hindsight. Just didn't think I needed to because Belegwath was so close to dying and I still had near full HP.

Though honestly, this was the worst possible scenario. Any other combination of enemies and I would have been fine.

Doesn't help that there wasn't any accessible stairs nearby either since I got false floored onto 750 feet.
