Sometimes you just can't plan for these things. +22 evasion and a snow troll gets a hit in? Beat my roll by 1.

I suppose I could have healed in hindsight, but I honestly was not expecting him to land anything when I swapped to the robes. I don't usually have to heal for snow trolls in the first place...

The unidentified amulet in my inventory was Nimphelos. Couldn't try it on because I was stuck with the cursed constitution amulet. Sometimes you find _sanctity all over the place but can't find a single piece of cursed gear to ID it. Other times you get cursed with something and can't find a _sanctity all game.

I probably should just quit trying amulets on to begin with unless they came out of a chest. I'm always optimistic about it - maybe it's an artefact - or maybe it's an early con/grace amulet <+1> - or maybe it's adornment and nothing happens - or maybe it's haunted and I'll be able to use ID it - or maybe it's cursed but I'll find a _sanctity soon.

I think it's twisted that IDing _sanctity requires you to be cursed in the first place, _sanctity usually only carry 3 charges max, and to verify that you actually have _sanctity and not some other staff, you can only do so safely with process of elimination. Usually takes at least 2 tries to do so, by which point, there may or may not be any remaining charges on that staff. Furthermore, there's almost a chance that it's actually entrapment because entrapment AFAIK will never ID. You can occasionally see when there are more traps on screen after you use the staff and therefore conclude that it's entrapment. But your in-game character will never realize it without _understanding or loremaster.

Probably the least harmful items to be cursed with are gloves of treachery and weapons of vampiricism/fury, as long as it's not on a broken sword or something. Amulets of -1 grace aren't so bad too. Hmm, now that I think about it, amulet of con -1 is probably the worst. Flickering shadows is hard to play around as well, since you get stuck with a 2 light radius light source that is inconsistent. 2 light source is non-ideal for anything past shadow spider depth. And an absolute pain to play with if you're trying to clear whispering shadows.
