Having played the Skillmaster several times now, my staple GAME START TONBERRY setup is to: GET Hasty Personality and get 100% Speed + 40% Polearm / Sword Melee depending on weapons available at '3' and then get 100% Loremastery at clvl 5. At clvl 10, I bring Polearm / Sword Melee to 60%. Then, for clvl 15, 20, and 25, I boost Sword / Polearm to 20%, 40%, and then 60% - Well, if I boosted Polearm first, then I'll be boosting Sword at these levels. If I boosted Sword first, then it's vice versa with the Polearms. Doing this setup secures in the early-game [for me]: Good damage (at least in the 200s), great speed [+7 Base Speed at Game Start!!!], and Auto-ID, and given the Tonberry melee bonuses, all this makes an extremely fun early-game with good transition into the mid-game fitting my playstyle.

That said, the Tonberry Skillmaster with my preferred Skill choices has become my #1 PCB combo superseding the Tonberry Chaos-Warrior and of course the Possessor.
