I can't believe no leather or studded leather spawned this game and that was the only thing I had for body armour until now.

Just found kite shield of the swan. Finally a different shield this time. Been getting Hador almost every single playthrough. Although, I can't deny the double resists weren't nice...

On 17.1.2017 06:35 protopulse wrote: Oh, I see it now. "It resists fire." I guess I skimmed through the description too fast. I don't think I would have went for that fight with the deathblade if I knew beforehand that flaming arrows wouldn't work. It was a series of unfortunate events though. At first I just wanted to leave. I wasn't expecting it to follow me through a corner, and when it did, I was like, okay, let's see if I can take it out before it can take me out. Turned on flaming arrows, prepared a batch of (+3) arrows, and got to work. I got it to about 10% hp, before I couldn't land any more hits on it. I also ran out of +3 arrows at that point. And then werewolves showed up behind the deathblade. And I was down to my last couple orcish potions. I honestly wasn't expecting to get stunned by the potion either with 11 will. So when that happened, I said I don't feel like using up any more consumables for this (I'd have to start using !heal) and so I left. Leaping didn't trigger on the spiked trap for some reason, so I fell in. No big deal. I was down to I want to say...15 HP? I really don't think it was any lower than that or I would have quaffed a potion. Since I automatically dismiss more messages, I didn't see my HP warning messages. I just find those messages get in the way of gameplay too much.
Didn't know Belthronding has that unique interaction. That's pretty cool.

On 17.1.2017 14:55 ripforareason wrote: Probably should have made a war hammer of smithing at the forge at 550', but you probably didn't have enough skill in smithing for a +4 one since you didn't have song of aule. One redeeming quality of smithers is that song of aule branches into song of sharpness.
On 17.1.2017 18:18 protopulse wrote: Yea, I only had enough for a +3 hammer. I was trying to get rid of the mithril greaves I had with me as well, but if I made a faenorian lamp, it'd leave me with 2 uses so artefacts are out of the question. That's why I was pondering if I should make +3 rings of acc/evasion, which honestly aren't much better than the +2's of the same I already had.
I had enough smithing to craft robes of great speed at the time of my death. If you check up there, I had 20 smithing, but I wasn't wielding my +3 gauntlets of the forge, lesser jewel of grace, or crown of grace.
